Art – watercolour blending
We used watercolours in art to test the effect and start making the background of our final piece. We tried to blend two colours together or go from dark to light. We hope our final piece will look really nice with this background.
Periscopes
We had a go at making our own periscopes! It was lots of fun and the reason we did it was because we are learning about light. We used them to reflect light through using mirrors to our eyes. They are used all over the world for different things.
Inside out day! Where do our clothes come from?
We did this because we wanted to see where all our clothes came from. We found out most of our clothes came from Asia. We coloured in the countries our clothes came from on a map.
How light reflects off different surfaces
This was something really fun! We got to do this in our science lesson. We had to turn off all the lights until it was pitch black so it worked. The tools you needed were a torch, a book or something flat to reflect the light off of mirrors and see what direction it bounced off in. We also looked at how light reflected off spoons. These surfaces were concave or convexed.
Debating
In English we debated whether the varmints should stop thinking and just go along with what is happening to them or should they speak out and try and change the towering buildings which have replaced their paradise. Both sides came up with good arguments and counter arguments to defend their ideas.
