0.2 FTE Year 1 / Year 2 – Cover Teacher
The governing body is looking to recruit a teacher to cover Year 1/2 classes, it is suitable for newly qualified teachers. The post is offered on a fixed term basis until May 2026, with the possibility of the contract being extended after this term. Candidates need to be passionate about teaching and learning with an uncompromising, relentless commitment to getting the best out of all the pupils.
This is a part-time post of 0.2 FTE (1 day a week). The starting salary will be discussed with candidate, main scale depending on skill set.
In return, the successful candidate would find themselves among supportive and welcoming staff, parents and governors in a larger than average school with plenty of opportunities for professional development.

Minchinhampton C of E Primary Academy has rigorous procedures and guidelines regarding the welfare and safeguarding of our pupils and expects all staff and volunteers to be committed to pupil welfare and safety. A satisfactory DBS check and two recent references are conditions of employment. During the shortlisting process we will carry out an online search as part of our due diligence. This could help identify any incidents or issues that have happened and are publicly available online. We may then decide to explore these at interview. The search is purely about whether an individual is suitable to work with children.
