In Science Cyan have been linking their learning in history with their science. We are experimenting with different substances to see what works best to mummify an apple.  We have used a control jar, cocoa powder, bath salts, salt and sugar. We have made our own predictions and will observe the apples over the next 3 weeks. Photos of when we mummified them and then after 1 week.

In indoor PE we have been working on balances using point balances and patch balances. We have worked in pairs to do matching balances and contrasting balances.

For history we are studying the Egyptians.  To immerse ourselves in the topic we did our own archaeological dig just how Howard Carter would have done in 1922.  As we unearthed artefacts we sketched them to record our findings. Luckily the sun was shining and we discovered plenty of treasures.

In English we are reading the book Marcy and the riddle of the Sphinx.  We were discussing a decision that Marcy had to make which would involve stealing from another God to save her father. We created a conscience alley for a child to walk down as Marcy and for all the children lining it to make their suggestion as to what Marcy should do. A tough decision to make with lots of reasoned answers given.
