It’s Royal classes final news entry of the year and it is being written by two of its classiest members! We are Milo and George and we’re going to tell you about all the fun things we’ve done in Royal class because we’ve done lots of stuff so hold onto your hats because we are about to tell you about our whole school term.
In maths, we’ve been learning about graphs and angles and it’s been very fun. We have been working hard on this and we are very happy . we’ve also been learning about time and digital Clocks and some people even now can tell the time and it made them way more confident!
In science, we’ve been learning about Human biology and respiration and the digestive system. It’s been very gross but exciting at the same time. The most gross thing ever that we could possibly think of was dissecting owl pellets. I know it sounds disgusting! it was but it was very fun at the same time. we also tested our lung capacity!
In art, we’ve been learning about Alma Thomas she does blocks in her art and it’s very cool how she does it . my art project was a spiral portal to a different dimension. And my one was a lemon tree it was very cool and it made me feel like a real artist.
In DT we’ve been doing pneumatic toys. It was very fun. I made a monster. It has a mouth that can open and close. Other people decided to make a car with spawn around. it’s very cool how they did it. They used lots of cardboard and some tubes. They all use air power too. It took a lot of problem solving but we got there in the end. I’m very very proud.
Also, we had a really fun year four camp out. we had marshmallows and we had lots of fun. We also done game where we had to tick off the stuff that we found and whoever had the most stuff won points. We also did a game called drip drip drop and it’s where you drip the water on someone’s head. it’s like duck duck goose basically but with water it’s way much more fun. everyone was having a nice time sleeping in their tents.
In computing we have been doing video editing and film making. our favourite part was when we videoed us doing magic tricks. our favourites thing in the movie side of things was when we made basically a flip chart of the Roman cities how they were made and loads of facts about the Romans it was very fun.
In sports day we had loads of fun races. I like watching everyone race because they were zooming down the track. we had lots of fun. and sports day was one of the best sports things ever. I think everyone else agrees.
We have been looking forward to this London trip for ages. We are really excited and we are really looking forward to going and exploring all the precious stuff. It’s a natural history museum we are going on Friday we are going to love it.
Now it’s time to tell you about the books we’ve been reading the book that we’re reading at the moment it’s called Rumaysa a book about a girl and it’s a
fairytale and she ends up in a different place every couple of chapters it was absolutely amazing. I can’t believe how many fairytales were in that story.
I know exactly where we can finish off – with the Romans! they built loads of stuff, including roads and they needed cities too. it’s extremely fascinating. i’ll tell you one thing: they were rotten and they had loads of fighting techniques and went into loads and loads and loads of battles. It was dangerous being in the army for a Roman soldier. We’re making a horrible history episode in English and it’s going to be great!
