Pinhole cameras:
We have been learning about light through making pinhole cameras. This was a really fun activity because we made them out of Pringles tubes. First, we cut a bit of the Pringles tube, then we cut out a bit of paper and stuck it on the lid. Next, we made a hole with a pen where the lid was then we put the two bits of Pringle tubes together with tape. If we didn’t block out all the light out it wouldn’t work. The good bit was going outside looking through the Pringles tube and looking at the sun and we see an image upside down. This was such a good activity to do.- Arthur
Tessellations:
In computing we were making tessellations on the Chromebooks. I found this really fun because we got to explore with colours and shapes. I learnt that tessellations can be more than one shape. Mine was made of circles and rectangles. We finished by screenshotting and putting them onto a Google doc. – Lenni
Refraction:
When we learnt about refraction we did 2 experiments. One was called the Amazing Arrow and the other was called Incredible Images. In Incredible Images we filled a glass up with water and had a drawing underneath the glass and we saw the drawing was still there, but when we put a saucer on it the image disappeared. In Amazing Arrows, we filled another glass of water and drew an arrow on a piece of paper. Then we put it behind the glass and then looked at it from the other side, and it looked bigger. – Theo
