We can’t believe we’ve only got one term left in Royal class. The time has gone by fast. in English, we have been learning about the pebble in my pocket. We wrote a piece of persuasive writing about climate change and I was really happy with mine. I got to show it to Miss Lager!
Our class read is Secrets of the Night Train. It has been an interesting book and we’re really enjoying it so far. It’s all about a little girl who is on a train finding out a mystery of a stolen diamond and there is a Nun with a gun and we think it’s her!
In maths yr4 are learning about decimals and Y3 are learning about money and adding money together. Y3’s favourite was converting pounds to pennies. Y4 has been learning about decimal points and converting pennies into pounds. This was really fun because we got plastic money to use and help us and it made sure we could do it properly.
In Science, we’ve been learning about rocks and fossils. We went for a walk around Minch to see how local stone is used to build last week. Learning about fossils is really cool because you get to look at different types of fossils. and we made chocolate rocks to learn about the 3 different types of rock and I ate some and it went into my hot chocolate.
In computing we have been learning about email. We Emailed each other and we had lots of fun in the email because we could email each other and play with our friends with the email.
In art, we have been learning about Banksy and graffiti. It has been really fun because we’re going to make our own stencils. I think it’s going to be very fun because we make our own stencils and use colours and use cards to cut out.
In PE, we have been doing line dancing and it has been really fun because sometimes you go in circles galloping and we’ve been learning about the fan. It is a western style dance move.
In outside PE we have been doing sprinting and long jump. It has been really fun because it’s athletics and it’s really cool. we have been doing high jump and throwing too. All of these activities were very fun because it was getting us more in shape.
In geography we have been learning about pollution and plastic planet. Littering is bad for the planet so we get to make our planet safer and have more animals and more fish and more turtles. I love turtles.
At Viney Hill we did climbing walls and caving. we had helmets with a light on them so we could see in the dark to crawl through the tunnels and it was very fun but I was crying because I’m claustrophobic! On the climbing wall it was really high and I was about 50 Feet in the air! I almost came over my fear, but it was too high for me. I couldn’t handle it because I have a fear of heights and I get terrified when I’m on a high place.
In Viney hill we did Tunnelling. I went down and we saw Batman! I was in Mr Moss’ group and we did low ropes. He sprayed us with water and got us soaked so I went back to my eco pod and got in better clothes.
I shared an eco-pod with Thomas, Hugo TL, Kenzie, jack, kit, Conor, Teddy and me. There were 7 in my echo pod. High ropes were fun. We had 2 goes before that we did crate stacking. me and Jack did the record and Mr Moss pushed us down. Jack was really funny!
We had a thunderstorm and we had a rain dance it was really funny and we dressed up in other people’s clothes and the teachers had to guess who we were and people started laughing it was really funny. When we did crate stacking somebody got span around he felt a tiny bit sick after, but he was okay at the end. At breakfast, we had pancakes they were really good. they had maple syrup on and they’re really good. I couldn’t stop eating the pancakes. Because they’re so good. For lunch, we had a packet of crisps an apple or an orange and we had orange juice or apple juice and an egg or ham or cheese sandwich.
We’re almost at sports day It’s going to be really fun because we have a lot of different activities Like throwing and sprinting. we did long jump and we did high jump in PE and it was really fun because I love those activities at school.
