Half term seems like a long time ago we’ve done so much in Royal class already!
In English we have finished planet Omar and now we are moving onto werewolf club rules which is a poetry book and the author is Joseph Coelho. The latest thing we did in planet Omar was right our own chapter in the author’s style, Zanib Mian. We had an hour and twenty minutes to complete the task. It was all the funniest thing we did in the planet Omar term in English. We even got to do our own story plan and actions! Now moving on we have done three poems from werewolf club rules which is I am a writer, a little bit of food and gingerbread man. We even got to write our own poem!
We finished the firework makers daughter which was a really really good book and now we have started odd and the frost giant and so far he chopped down a tree and it fell on his leg and shattered it and it is also a great book.
In maths, we have finished column addition, subtraction, multiplication and written division, and we loved doing it. Now we have started fractions like adding fractions, finding equivalent fractions and comparing fractions is great and we like it. We get to do challenging explore its like using the digits at least or only once and we know our equivalent fractions, such as one half and two quarters and three sixths. We like this topic because it is sometimes kind of challenging.
In geography we have been focusing on the river Severn which is an interesting topic and we got to make our own water wheels that spin round and show the water cycle. We have precipitation, condensation transpiration and evaporation. The water is rain and it travels around the clouds when we spin the wheel the right way. We even put arrows on the wheel to spin it around the correct direction and some dots that represent the rain. We have been doing grid references last geography lesson and the river Severn and map reading which we really enjoyed a lot and it was very fun. The river parts are the source waterfall confluence mouth estuary delta stream meander erosion and oxbow lake.
For art we have done Stephen Wiltshire who does cityscape artwork and we have facts about him such as he lives in Britain, he started drawing when he was three or four years old, he sold his first painting when he was seven years old for one-thousand-five-hundred pounds. He is still alive today and has autism and he is known as the human camera because he can memorise entire cities for about a minute, go away, and draw it again without looking at it again. We are going to be doing the final piece of cityscape art today!
In DT we got to make bread and it was really really fun and we even got to eat it and take the recipe home with you and we got to make Egyptian flatbread we gonna make it ourselves and we go the whole day to do it.
We finished swimming this term and we are allowed to swim half lengths and do games and safety in water. We were in stage one.
In science, we have finished electricity and now we are moving on to the light and shadows but sadly we have only done the elicitation. In electricity we have been making circuits and making the ball right up and insulators and conductors and it is interesting and it’s a good topic and we like it. It is a very interesting subject to learn about and we were always fascinated about electricity and circuits and how electricity can travel through the wire and make stuff like bulbs light up.
In computing, we have finished doing our News report and are now on presenting but we haven’t started yet. in the news weather report we have filmed on Chromebooks us reading a script and Tewkesbury and river Severn flooding and the Thames flood barrier raising and the van driver getting stuck in the water had to do a soggy walk home in the water because he underestimated the water and he got stuck in the muddy water.
We have done two different types of PE lessons first we have done outdoor PE in we have done lots of sports like skittle ball dodgeball football. In inside PE we have been doing production dancing and practising our singing ready for four weeks time and how we’re going to act on stage in groups such as the man-cub the wolf pack the orangutans the monkeys.
In PSHE we have done my personality islands, alcohol and cigarettes and unhealthy stuff that makes us ill. Things that are healthy such as sleep exercise fruit, water oxygen and food. Things like alcohol and cigarettes can be bad for you because they contain harmful drugs that can be addictive.

In SPaG we did vowels and cover write check.

In music we practice singing the songs and at the end of the term we make a poster of the singer and song.
We did hiking from history and it was very interesting. we even learned about Danelaw and Danegeld which is an ineffective method invented by king Ethelred the unready. It was super fun! We also learned about what made to the monks. It was very naughty.
