Over the last few weeks Nursery have been learning all about Chinese New Year – we practised our scissor skills by making Chinese lanterns, we have been practising and looking out for words beginning with S because this year is the year of the snake and we worked together to make our very own Chinese dragon.
We have also been looking at the heart shape – mark making on heartshaped absorbent paper and observing what happens when water is added using pipettes (good fine motor practice). We again used our fine motor skills in the sensory tray – picking up items using large and small tweezers. We also had fun doing bubble painting with heart shaped cutters.
