We have been enjoying the sunshine this week and having our picnic snack in the orchard.
We have become sunflower detectives and have been busy planting and painting sunflowers. We had to work out whether we had enough pots and seeds to plant our sunflowers. We used ten frames and knew that we needed 3 full ten frames and 5 in the next ten frame to make sure that we had enough for one each. We found out that we had 137 pots. 13 full ten frames and 7 in the next ten frame. Did you know there are many different types of sunflowers and they have different types of seeds? We found out that seed packets have lots of maths information on them.
