SKY CLASS: Printing Sun Stones,
Inspired by the Maya and Aztecs
Throughout this term we have been looking at the Maya and Aztecs in our topic lessons. We decided to include this theme in our art lessons and recreate the sunstone as a print using 3 different colours.
We had to carefully press into the foam using a pencil to create our design. We first printed using yellow ink, then red and then finally blue, going from light to dark. After each print we carved out a new part of the design to allow the colour to show through. We are really pleased with our results!
