Cyan visit a Hindu Community Centre
This week Cyan went on a trip to the Hindu Community Centre in Cheltenham with the rest of Year 3/4. When we got to the temple we took off our shoes and coats and then walked up some stairs to the temple room. We gave a piece of fruit to the lady which was an offering to the Gods. The fruit was put in front of the statues for the Gods to eat. We then watched an Aarti where people prayed to the different statues with singing and clapping, bells and candles. The bells were really loud! They were waking the Gods up. We then listen to a talk about Hinduism. Before we left we all took a piece of fruit to eat with us.
