Azure are dotty!
This term, Azure Class have had a lovely time learning about the artist Yayoi Kasuma, who is known as the Princess of Polka Dots. The children did observational drawings of fruit and vegetables and then they explored different sizes and colours of polka dots to decorate them with, by printing using a range of corks, cotton buds, straws and bottle tops. In PSHE and RE the children thought about what made them unique and they came up with some very thoughtful responses. In PE the children have played lots of team games and practiced relay races and hurdling. Of course, in between time, we fitted in some SATs papers, but the children didn’t even realise they were doing them and cheered on several occasions when we were doing them! The children have been a pleasure to work with and Mrs Smith has thoroughly enjoyed her first term as our new class teaching assistant. We are all looking forward to our week off, a well deserved break. Wishing you all a lovely week from all of Azure Class.
