In Indigo Class we have had lots of fun exploring maths, science and phonics in creative and dynamic ways.

The children have planned, produced and observed their own experiments and investigations of growing cress and mustard seeds. We have started to discuss and compare growth, thinking about the impacts of location and light. We have also researched minibeasts and their microhabitats by adventuring onto the field and drawing our finds!

In maths we have explored fractions which the children seemed to enjoy with counters, both inside and outside. We are now learning about time, so far exploring O’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to. Next week we will be moving onto minutes and five minute intervals. We have carried out lots of extension tasks to challenge ourselves and the children seem to be doing really well. Well done, Indigo Class!
Have a wonderful weekend and a beautiful Mother’s Day all!
