Azure Class had a lovely time visiting Avoncroft Museum of Buildings. They made bricks and learnt about the frog in a brick! They saw lots of buildings and thought carefully about what each building was for and what it was made of. Some of the favourite buildings were the windmill, gaol, prefab church and the chain shop.
In the classroom the children have explored 2D and 3D shapes and hopefully they can now talk about the vertices, edges and faces of a 3D shape as well as naming them. They had to really work hard on their cutting skills when they were folding 2D shapes to find the vertical line of symmetry.
The children enjoyed making bird feeders in English and they wrote the instructions for making them too. Hopefully the birds will enjoy them this Winter.
