We have been enjoying a very busy week in Royal Class. We began with a focus on science, where we are learning all about light and shadows. Our task was challenging as we needed to  build craters and a mountain out of plasticine so that it created a shadow that matched one we had been given.  We learned all about how shadows are created and how where the sun is in the sky has an effect on the size and shape of the shadow.

We have all been working very hard on our History unit – Vicious Vikings. We have been becoming Viking ship experts in class at the moment and have been preparing a short presentation to show to the other Year 3/4 classes. In our pictures, you can see us making props and rehearsing for our presentation. We are very excited to show the other classes what we have learned about Viking ships!

In English, we have been writing our very own graphic novel based on Arthur and the Golden Rope. At the moment, we have been working hard to write in the style of Jo Todd-Stanton and next week we get to create our final pieces, which we are all very excited about!

We have finished our cornet lessons and we are all so proud of what we have learned and that we can all now play on the cornet. We have attached a video of us playing James Brown’s ‘I feel good’. We really hope that you enjoy it. (
