Cyan have really been enjoying their poetry unit this term. We have been performing poetry, writing poetry and today whilst enjoying the wonderful sunny weather we got outside to gather ideas for our next poems which will be about nature. Children gathered ideas to describe everything from Willow, to daisies, from large trees to vines of ivy.
Our performance poetry has shown that every child in Cyan can stand up and perform or act out poetry. With growing expression we have heard a wide variety of ways to perform one single poem, and all with enthusiasm and expression.
In science we have been investigating how light travels and solving challenges using mirrors. These challenges did cause frustration at times as children tried to work out how to create a periscope or to direct a torch using only a mirror. The hands on experiments brought our learning to life.
