Children’s Mental Health week is taking place on 1-7 February 2021 and this year’s theme is Express Yourself.

Their website: https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk is full of information and activities to support children and encourage discussions about mental health.

The Duchess of Cambridge has recorded a message for parents and carers which can be found on the website and in it she says:

“This year’s Children’s Mental Health Week is all about expressing yourself – about finding creative ways in which to share your thoughts, ideas and feelings. So whether that’s through photography, through art, through drama, through music or poetry – it’s finding those things that makes you feel good about yourself.”

The website is full of resources and activities to support parents and children during this difficult year.  On Friday 5th February, there is an online conference with keynote speakers Lemn Sissay MBE and Bessel van den Kolk MD it is titled “Creativity as a healing tool: Connecting mind, body & imagination”.
