Our book, “A Portal Through Time” was handed over to John Dougherty, on a velvet cushion, amid a trumpet fanfare during special assembly last week. John will now write the closing chapter, tying up all all the loose ends and bring the quest to its victorious conclusion! The details of the closing chapter will be a secret until publication, and the pupils have only read their own chapters, making it all very exciting and mysterious.
We’ve visited the publishers (The History Press) and met with the cover designer. A combination of three pupils artwork was chosen for the cover, and children wrote the ‘blurb’ for the back, so that is well under way. The book itself, along with childrens’ illustrations, will be given to the publishers at Feb half term. Book launch event: Sat 10th June.
