Thank you to all donations of food for our Harvest Service today which will be donated to Stroud Food Bank.
During the service, sickness Mr Moss asked the questions “Is it good to have a choice of food and does it matter if we have to throw some food away?” This spurred a thoughtful whole school discussion and debate about food wastage.
Some of the year 2 children read out their reflections of Experience Harvest at the church.
Reverend Deborah talked about Harvest, thanking God for all the food we have.
The house captains then talked about their hopes for the future as if they were talking to the UN. They talked about the EU, helping others here and abroad, helping charities such as Water Aid, feeding the world, being kind, peace throughout the world, stop racism and prejudice.
