World Cup Final – Reception

The final between Wales and Scotland has now been played.

The match took place during lunch time and the referee was Kieran Forbes from Forest Green Rovers. Â ItÂ was a nail biting match. Â Both goalies played particularly well but in the end it was the right foot of Fergus that won the match for Scotland.

It has been a truly amazing football tournament and we have all been every impressed with the talent and commitment of the players. Well done to everyone that took part.

World Cup Reception third place play off

The matches have been played and results are in…

3rd place play off between Northern Ireland and England. It was a close match, all players played well and in the end Northern Ireland won 2 – 1.

Football Frenzy

On Monday we had a day of football frenzy. Â The day started with some football training with someÂ real football coaches from Forest Green Rovers. We learnt some skills and had a short Â game.

Dutch Day

Today was ourÂ Â Dutch Day and we had a super fun time.

We even had our own Netherlands team

and our red, white and blue team

We tasted a number of traditional Dutch dishes. HereÂ wasÂ our menu for the day;

Hotchpotch (or in Dutch Hutspot) is a dish of boiled and mashed potatoes, carrots and onions with a long history in traditional Dutch cuisine

Nasi met Kroepoek – Indonesian rice and prawn crackers

Frikandel Speciaal – Dutch sausage

Gouda cheese

Pepernoten- a Dutch cookie.

A hugeÂ thank you to Mr Jansen for preparing all of the food and explaining what each of the foods were and why they are important to the Dutch.
