This afternoon we all had a go at grinding the wheat to make flour just like the Little Red Hen. We bashed and thrashed, scraped and crushed the wheat with all our might using a stone. It was hard work but we persevered until most of the grains of wheat had turned into flour. Phew!

Today we went searching for apples and found some at the front of the school. We sang the song and shook the tree until 10 apples fell down. We then went back into class and ate one of the apples. We worked out that the apple needed to cut into 23 pieces for all of us to have a taste. The apple was juicy, sweet and crunchy. Yum yum!
Welcome to our new Reception children – September 2016
Tomorrow will be the end of our first full week in school. Well done everyone. Mrs Bugg and Mrs Saeed are extremely impressed with how well you have all settled in to your new classes. What a great start.
We have already been very busy. We have particularly enjoyed Outdoor Learning, PE and playing in our outdoor classroom.
