PGL Final reminders

We hope you found the PGL information meeting useful and that we were able to answer your questions. Based on the queries that popped up, we have listed a few reminders below to be aware of:

  • Your child will need to have a small rucksack for them to carry spare kit and their water bottle each day
  • A named water bottle will be needed
  • A named wallet/purse with up to £5 in coins please – to be handed to a member of staff Friday (8th May) morning
  • All medicines to be in individual named plastic bags with relevant paperwork filled in – to be handed to a member of staff Friday (8th May) morning
  • Sleeping bag/duvet and pillow – make it as easy as possible for them to carry
  • NO cameras, IPods, IPads or any form of electrical games
  • Your child may bring a book, travel board game, pack of cards, notepad etc. for the journey – put it in their rucksack

Year 4s – There will be two competitions running over the weekend:

  • Tidiest room – will your room be spotless no matter what time of day?
  • Coolest teddy bear – can you convince us that your teddy deserves to win this prize?

Please don’t forget to check out the blog over the weekend. We will be updating as much as we can with photos, comments from the children and reflections of each activity.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any more questions in the next few weeks.

Many thanks,

Miss Tonner and Miss Whitehead

Photographs

A number of you have asked if we are going to do a DVD of photos from our time away.  I have decided that the easiest way to get the photos to you is to put up a selection from each group here.  You can then download the ones you want with your child in.  I hope this works for you.

Lost property

We only had 1 pair of waterproof trousers  and a red Tommy Hilfiger t-shirt left after the remainder of lost property was collected on Monday afternoon.

These pieces are currently in the office and Mrs Bennett will gladly return these to their owners.

Mr O.

P.s. if you have found anything that is not your child’s please return it to the school office asap.  Thanks

Final Farewell.

It has been such a pleasure to take your children away.  This year has been a particular highlight.

We were lucky with the weather and really lucky with the instructors we have had; they do truly make the trip something special.

The lovely bunch…

A massive personal thanks to Miss Tonner and Mrs Aurelius for all their years of hard work and for putting up with me.

To Mrs Hough and Miss Whitehead for putting their all in to this, their first year.  They have now firmly earned their PGL wings.

Lastly, to all the children who have ever come to a PGL with me and tried their hardest and quite often put me to shame!  Thanks for making me smile.
