NURSERY TRIPS;  Westonbirt Arboretum, Slimbridge WWT, Dick Whittington Farm Park

NURSERY VISITS;  Personal trainer to talk about health and fitness, Sarah Davis Berry to do a dance and movement session, Parents in to play musical instruments,  Parents in to talk about jobs/roles,  Ex Pupils in to talk about interests, Parents in to talk about cultures, Parents with pets (tortoise, puppies etc)

RECEPTION TRIPS; Bristol Zoo, Wildplace, Redwood, Westonbirt Arboretum, Stroud Museum

RECEPTION VISITS; Parent visitors (police, vet, doctor, nurse, biomedical scientist), Dairy Crest milk factory, parents talking about Chinese New Year, visiting authors John Dougherty, Julia Jarman.

YEAR 1/2 TRIPS; Cotswold Motor Museum, Avoncroft Museum, Roses Theatre Pantomime, Nature in Art, The Tobacco Factory

YEAR 1/2 VISITS; Parents talk about jobs/ roles, Sam Hosler as Queen Isabella of Spain, Kate Eaglestone (RE), Amanda Legg (Cookery), Cathryn Webb (book sharing).

YEAR 3/4 TRIPS; Bristol Museum – Egyptian Gallery, Bristol Zoo – Africa topic, Nature in Art,  Gloucester Docks and Waterways Museum, Stratford – upon – Avon  – Shakespeare,  Caerleon Roman Legion Museum and sights – Roman topic, Berkeley Castle – A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hindu Temple – RE unit, PGL (year 4).

YEAR 3/4 VISITS; Play in a Day drama group, Shelterbox, Kate Eaglestone- RE, Natalie Whitton – skeletons, Water Aid, Send a Cow.

YEAR 5/6 TRIPS;  Y6 Viney Hill, Y6 Gloucester Cathedral – Leavers’ Service, Y6 Wyvern Theatre, Secondary school – themed days e.g. Science, Living Rainforest.

YEAR 5/6 VISITS; Mr Knowles-Jackson – pottery unit, Mexicolore,  Jungle Jonathan, Parent/carer visitors – WW2 experiences, explorer, travels, animations, jobs/roles, Kate Eaglestone- RE, Lucy Willis -flood defence expert- rivers topic, Derek Aldridge- how to run a theatre light camera action topic,  Natalie Whitton- dissecting cows heart and lungs- science, Shakespeare in a Suitcase….Macbeth, Iris Muir – life in WWII with the American base, Police – Drugs Education and E-Safety.
