{"id":921,"date":"2018-11-12T10:13:25","date_gmt":"2018-11-12T10:13:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.minchacademy.net\/reception\/?p=921"},"modified":"2022-01-20T09:14:11","modified_gmt":"2022-01-20T09:14:11","slug":"cursive-writing-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.minchacademy.net\/reception\/2018\/11\/12\/cursive-writing-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Cursive writing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reading in Reception is coming along well. \u00a0Mrs Saeed and Mrs Bugg are impressed with the progress the children are making and the effort that everyone is putting in to practising the letter sounds and reading the words at home. \u00a0We have almost learnt the alphabet sounds &#8211; just j,v,w,x,y,z and qu to go and inevitably some children are now ready to begin writing words, captions and sentences.<\/p>\n<p>In school we use the cursive script for writing and the children will soon be taught how each letter is formed but, to get a head start, here is a video that shows you how we write each letter.
