Today was our\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0Dutch Day and we had a super fun time.<\/p>\n

We even had our own Netherlands team<\/p>\n

and our red, white and blue team<\/p>\n

We tasted a number of traditional Dutch dishes. Here\u00c2\u00a0was\u00c2\u00a0our menu for the day;<\/p>\n

Hotchpotch (or in Dutch Hutspot) is a dish of boiled and mashed potatoes, carrots and onions with a long history in traditional Dutch cuisine<\/p>\n

Nasi met Kroepoek – Indonesian rice and prawn crackers<\/p>\n

Frikandel Speciaal – Dutch sausage<\/p>\n

Gouda cheese<\/p>\n

Pepernoten- a Dutch cookie.<\/p>\n

A huge\u00c2\u00a0thank you to Mr Jansen for preparing all of the food and explaining what each of the foods were and why they are important to the Dutch.

The children also found out many interesting facts about the Netherlands and I \u00c2\u00a0hope they can remember some of the information and share them with you at home.<\/p>\n
