Well we are already at the end of week 5 and the children\u00c2\u00a0have settled amazingly well.\u00c2\u00a0 They are able to find their way around the classroom and the school and new friendships are beginning to form.<\/p>\n
We have had a busy start to the year. This term our topic is Me and My Bear and we have been learning to retell Goldilocks and the Three Bears using actions to help us to remember the important words.\u00c2\u00a0 We have also been investigating porridge and drawing Goldilocks, making sure that she has a body as well as hands at the end of her arms and feet at the bottom of her legs.<\/p>\n
This week in letters and sounds we have been learning g, o, c and k so that makes 12 sounds that we have now learnt in total. Some of us are now able to blend the sounds together to read the words. Very exciting!<\/p>\n
In maths this week we have been counting everything! One of us\u00c2\u00a0counted 103 people in our plastic people pot.\u00c2\u00a0 We have\u00c2\u00a0also been ordering numbers to 20 on our big number line and playing guess the missing number games.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow we are going to perform our Goldilocks story to Midnight Class and our school Nursery so we hope we can remember it all! We will let you know how we get on!<\/p>\n
