Little Red Riding Hood has left us a story to retell. See if you can retell the story at home. Which parts can you remember?<\/p>\n

Little Red Riding Hood<\/h2>\n

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who lived in a small cosy cottage on the edge of the forest. Her name was Little Red Riding Hood because she always wore a ruby red cloak. \u00c2\u00a0Early one morning, Little Red Riding Hood asked her mother if she could visit granny because she was unwell.<\/span><\/p>\n

“What a good idea,” her mother said \u00e2\u20ac\u0153take Granny these cakes but remember do not stop on the way and do not talk to strangers\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, Little Red Riding Hood put on her ruby red cloak, picked up her basket of cakes and kissed her mother goodbye.<\/span><\/p>\n

Little red riding hood skipped happily through the forest to Granny\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s house. \u00c2\u00a0On the way she became tired so stopped to rest on a lumpy log, under an old oak tree, beside a trickling stream, deep in the middle of the forest.<\/span>
\n First she picked some beautiful flowers.<\/span>
\n Next she watched some fluttering butterflies.<\/span>
\n After that she listened carefully to some croaking frogs.<\/span>
\n Finally she ate one of granny\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s delicious cakes.<\/span>
\n Suddenly, a wolf appeared. A huge, hairy wolf with teeth as sharp as knives.<\/span>
\n “Where are you going little girl?” the wolf asked slyly.<\/span>
\n “I’m going to visit my Granny who lives on the other side of the forest” Little Red Riding Hood replied.<\/span>
\n The wolf grinned and disappeared.<\/span>
\n At that moment little red riding hood saw the time and rushed to Granny\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s cottage.<\/span>
\n But the wolf took a shortcut…<\/span>
\n Some time later Little Red Riding Hood arrived at Granny\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s cottage and knocked on the door.<\/span>
\n \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Come in, my dear,” Granny croaked strangely.<\/span>
\n Little Red Riding Hood walked in and looked at Granny who was lying in bed.<\/span>
\n \u00e2\u20ac\u0153What big ears you have,” said Little Red Riding Hood.<\/span>
\n “All the better to hear you with, my dear,” replied Granny.<\/span>
\n “What big eyes you have,” said Little Red Riding Hood.<\/span>
\n “All the better to see you with, my dear,” replied Granny.<\/span>
\n “What big teeth you have,” said Little Red Riding Hood with a shaky voice.<\/span>
\n “All the better to eat you with, my dear,” roared Granny.<\/span><\/p>\n

Suddenly Little Red Riding Hood realized that granny was really the wolf.<\/span>
\n The wolf jumped out of the bed, threw off Granny\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s frilly bonnet and chased Little Red Riding Hood around the cottage. \u00c2\u00a0Luckily a woodcutter was chopping logs nearby and heard the noise so he ran towards the cottage and grabbed the wolf as quick as a click. \u00c2\u00a0To his amazement Granny popped out of the wolf\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s mouth safe and sound.<\/span>
\n Finally the wolf ran over the hills and far away and they all lived happily ever after.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
