My Go-To Adult\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

My go-to adult is my inspirer,<\/p>\n

She has been in the mountains,<\/p>\n

Blonde hair turns golden under the full moon,<\/p>\n

Her necklace shining colours as the sun, bounces to and fro.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When my face exploded with water works at the classroom doors,<\/p>\n

My go to adult soaked up the tears with her kindness,<\/p>\n

Caught splashes in her thoughtful heart,<\/p>\n

Let sops fall on her designer clothes.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My go- to adult has been across the world winning everything,<\/p>\n

Skied off mountain tops,<\/p>\n

Persevered and cycled through muddy bogs when her knee was stiff,<\/p>\n

Scuba -dived under storms and in vicious waves.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When the bully bullied me for being too pale,<\/p>\n

My go to adult would glare at them,<\/p>\n

Eyes as vicious as a lion,<\/p>\n

And they would run away never to be seen again.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When my dad wasn\u2019t at home, she would<\/p>\n

Comfort me and read with me,<\/p>\n

And turned my frown upside down.<\/p>\n

When I wasn\u2019t feeling well, she let me miss school,<\/p>\n

And relax all day; she also let me have lunch in bed!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When I got told off at school,<\/p>\n

My go-to adult let me think,<\/p>\n

About what I did wrong,<\/p>\n

And told me what I can do better.<\/p>\n
