Compassion<\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0 by Emily Braune (Year 6)<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This story that I am about to tell<\/p>\n

Is about two people called Harry and Belle,<\/p>\n

It shows what it’s like to be in other people’s shoes,<\/p>\n

Empathy is the one to choose<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When Belle is sitting all alone<\/p>\n

And Harry is with his friends,<\/p>\n

He notices her with tears in her eyes,<\/p>\n

Harry knows Belle doesn’t pretend.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He feels her sorrow and her pain<\/p>\n

And asks her what’s the issue<\/p>\n

She tells him her tale with a quivering voice<\/p>\n

Whist dabbing her eye with a tissue.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

His voice is warm and tender<\/p>\n

It puts her at her ease,<\/p>\n

Harry’s arm is around Belle’s shoulder<\/p>\n

He gives her a compassionate squeeze.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I hope you’ll see from my caring tale<\/p>\n

That the role of the friend is clear<\/p>\n

to provide love, support and sympathy<\/p>\n

At times of greatest fear.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Didn’t you know! Compassion is the new fashion!<\/p>\n
