REG Windpower to the rescue!

For the second year running we would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to REG Windpower for their generous sponsorship of the team.  Thanks to them we were able to buy a replacement motor for our car, and properly compete with other teams for a change!

REG Windpower produce renewable power through their wind-farms, solar panels and even a fuel derived from used cooking oil!  They are the perfect partners for our green engineers and a shining example of the kind of sustainable engineering and technology we are gearing towards with our electric car.

One more practise before our first race!

Monday 1st of June I will be offering to run a 2 hour session so we can get some practise in before our first race on the 6th.  If you want to use this time please clear it with your parents beforehand!

It was great to see everyone driving on batteries this week, hopefully we will have the bodywork ready in time for the 1st.

There was sun, speed and the sound of mooing.

The Slalom

The Drag Race

It was fantastic to see the children working together, enjoying their day and learning from what was happening around them.  It was a lovely day for it and i’m really pleased that you gained the recognition for your hard work on the vehicle design.

I wish you all the best in the next round and know that you have taken a lot from the day.

Parents thank you for your support and Mr Bradshaw, another triumph sir.  Well done!

Mr. O

Tyre killer

What better way to celebrate our new stack of racing tyres than to crash into them at 15 Mph!  No prizes for guessing the identity of the driver!  Needless to say he has shown a marked improvement since this first run.
